National Coastwatch
Coastwatch was set up in order to fill a gap left when H.M.Coastguard closed down all their watch stations around the coast of the UK.
NCI Boscastle was set up at the beginning of 2002, it is manned by volunteers of which we currently have 40. We open the station from 0800- 1200, then 1200-1600 on Friday /Sat./ Sun./ Mon.
We have two watchkeepers on each shift and would like to recruit more in order to eventually cover seven days a week. All volunteers receive training ( which is'nt rocket science, just common sense) and are supplied with uniforms.
If you have some spare time and would like to be "the eyes and ears around the coast" helping any boats that might be in distress or walkers on the cliff paths that need help, why not give me a call,

Next Opportunity Mini Bus Drivers required for a new community bus service in the Launceston and surrounding villages. Full training will be provided.

Next Opportunity Volunteer needed to look after children from 0 to 5 years of age whilst parent receives counselling in town centre facility ( L)

Next Opportunity Would you be able to assist a lady with mild learning disabilities by becoming a befriender for her. Trips to the local cinema or simply a visit to the local town for a cup of coffee. (Week St Mary)     

Next Opportunity Bude Childrens Centre is looking for individuals who can help with Admin, Gardening             and generally helping out.  Volunteer and we can provide training in Child Protection             and Paediatric First Aid  (B)

Next Opportunity A youth agency are looking for a YOUTH WORKER ASSISTANT and also
            VOLUNTEERS to help run a café.  Also people who are interested in
            building relationships to help with social education. (L)

Next Opportunity  SUPPORT TEACHERS for Maths, English & IT and a Admin Assistant are needed
             to support a local agency in Bude.  (Term time).   (L)

Next Opportunity HELP!!! a SITTER is needed for an elderly gentleman while his carer/wife goes
         out for a couple of hours ! (B)

Next Opportunity Do you have any ARTISTIC SKILLS with art, sculpture, textiles etc.  Could you
            use those skills now for a local school? (B&L)        

Next Opportunity Crackington Playgroup is looking for someone who can help with refreshments
            two mornings per week.  Can you help? (B)
